The Deaf Athletics Field National Team, which continues their last camp for the Deaflympics 2017, the biggest sporting event in Turkey's history, in Ankara, will start to sweat for the Olympic medal in Samsun Ilkadım Athletics Stadium after 23rd of July.

The Athletics National Team which are preparing with great moral and motivation for the 23rd Deaflympics which will be held in Samsun on July 18-30. Athletics Field National Team Coach İhsan Taş said that their goal is to win medals in Samsun.

İhsan Taş the coach of the team that carried out the sixth and final camp at Turkey Olympic Training Center (TOHM) in Ankara, Eryaman, said: "Our primary target is winning the medal. We think that we have prepared our athletes in the best possible way. If God helps us, we will get good results."


Fatmagül Koç, 21, who started shot put five years ago, is one of the ambitious names of the team. Fatmagül who won European Deaf Athletics Junior Championships in Trabzon in 2014, then took two Turkish championships in two years. 

Fatmagül who said that for the first time she will join an international competition in the elite category and added: "We train every day for 1.5-2 hours. After the Olympic Games, I would like to join the European and World Championships and achieve success
