SHOOTING: FIRST GOLD TO UKRAINE
Ukraine’s Oleksandr Kostyk won the gold medal in men's 10m air rifle. South Korean shooter Changhoon Choi won the silver medal, and Czechia's Marek Bartosek ranked won the bronze.

Oğuzhan Yılmaz and Mehmet Güçlü, competing for Turkey, couldn't make it to the finals.

BASKETBALL: TURKEY STARTS OFF WITH DEFEAT
Turkey Men's Basketball National Team lost 83-75 to Poland in their first match in Deaflympics Samsun 2017. The Crescent-Stars finished the first quarter leading 22-17, but the first half ended 36-35 for Poland. The Crescent-Stars could only score 15 points in response to Poland's 24 during the 3rd quarter and finished 8 points down in the last quarter despite their best efforts.

In other matches in the group, Greece defeated Chinese Taipei 90-44 and the Lithuania-Venezuela ended 67-66 in a neck-and-neck game.

In group B, Russia defeated Australia 75-66. Argentina was victorious against Slovenia with a score of 89-74 and Ukraine clinched a crushing victory against Kenya with a score of 78-21.

FOOTBALL: TURKEY GAINS 3 POINTS WITH 3 GOALS
In men's football, Turkey defeated Saudi Arabia 3-1 in the first match of Group A. The Crescent-Stars started leading with Hakan Kurt's header on the 61th minute. Saudi Arabia's Hasan Mobarki scored an equalizer on 82th minute, but Hüseyin Er lead Turkey to victory and group leadership with two goals in 84th and 90+1st minutes.

In the other match of Group A, Egypt beat Venezuela 2-0 with two goals from Khalifa at 82th and 90+1st minutes.

In Group B's only match of the day, Germany defeated Iran with one goal only.

In Group C, Japan managed to steal a 2-1 victory from Ukraine with a goal at 90+1. Italy and Argentina drew 1-1.

In Group D, Great Britain won 5-1 against Brazil and Russia scored a clear 3-0 victory against South Korea.

TENNIS: SERCAN YEŞİLOVA IN NEXT ROUND
Sercan Yeşilova faced his Japanese rival Kohta Sasajima in the first round of men's singles in tennis and managed to achieve victory with the results 5/7, 6/2, 6/4. İsmail Hakkı Yılmaz and Mahmut Can Aydın were eliminated in the first round.

Japan’s Reiki Kajishita, Canada’s Martin Hong, Italy’s Aaron Paolo Kuzbinski, Great Britain’s Esah Hayat, Russia's Vladislav Abramov, Japan’s Naoto Oyamatsu and Israel’s Gabriel Lutsky defeated their rivals and continued to the next round.

In mixed doubles, the Turkish pair Necati Görmez - Beste Murşitoğlu lost to the Chinese Zengbao Yang - Li Cai in the first round without managing to score a set. The American, Italian, French and Israeli pairs managed to defeat their rivals and advance to the next round.

VOLLEYBALL: BRAZIL WINS IN FIVE SETS
In men's volleyball, in Group A, Brazil won against Venezuela in 5 sets and Italy won against Japan in 4 sets. In Group B, Russia lost no sets to Poland.

In women's volleyball, in Group A, Russia won against Canada and Japan won against Italy without losing a single set. In Group B, Ukraine won against Brazil in 3 sets and USA beat Poland in 4 sets.

CYCLING ROAD: GOLD MEDALS GO TO RUSSIA IN 1000M SPRINT
In cycling road, Russian Ilia Sergeyevich Gutenev won the gold at 1000m men's sprint. Chinese Qichao Liang won the silver and French Steeve Touboul won the bronze. The Turkish athletes Cuma Ekener and Ali Korkmaz got eliminated in the first round and Ercüment Boran just barely missed the quarter finals.

In women's 1000m sprint, another Russian, Alisa Bondareva became the champion. Venezuelan Ludy Correa Nava and Chinese Anan Mao ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively. Turkey's Ebru Tok ve Büşra Çetinkaya couldn't make it to the quarter-finals
