Rezzan, Zeliha and Kader Işık siblings are at the top of the list of athletes that Karate National Team which participates in Deaflympics 2017 with a group of 24 people, expects to gain medals. Mother Arzu Işık stated that they are not deaf, they are special children and she does not leave her children not only in sports but also in training and camps.

Three of the most exclusive athletes of Deaflympics 2017 are in Turkey's Deaf Karate National Team. The three sisters of Arzu - Tayyar Işık couple, Rezzan, Zeliha and Kader, are the names that the national team expects medals. The three children of the couple who have seven children and live under difficult conditions in Istanbul have overcome their birth defect 12 years ago with karate.
 
"OLYMPICS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN UNIVERSITY"
 
Rezzan Işık, 24, who gain bronze medal in Deaflympics 2013 for her country, is trying to handle both school and karate together. Rezzan, who studied architecture at Eskişehir Anadolu University, said, "I could not go to university because I focused on the Olympics. I have difficulty going to Eskişehir. At this moment your university does not have an importance, the Olympics are more important. After the games are over, I will go back to the university in 2018 "

The three siblings always have their family by their side. Arzu - Tayyar Işık couple never leaves three girls alone. Not only in training sessions or games, but in the camp, even when the sisters enter the camp their parents stay with them.

Mother Işık who describe her daughters and other deaf children not as deaf but as special children said that they will be there for the athletes during Deaflympics and added: "

I and my husband really passed through rough days. We've always been with them. We never made a distinction between our children. We always wanted them to study. Every time they go to a camp, we go with them as well. I'm hopeful of all our special kids. I believe. There is a very good squad. I expect medals from them.
